FULL-TIME MUNICIPAL COURT CLERK

The City of Martinsburg is accepting applications for full-time Municipal Court Clerk.  Graduation from high school or GED equivalent with course work in typing and/or general office practices; and two (2) years prior work experience in clerical, secretarial, paralegal or administrative work; or any equivalent combinations of education and experience. The successful applicant will assist in administering criminal proceedings and docketing, assist in the coordination of court matters with the Municipal Judge, Chief Magistrate, defendants, defense counsel, City prosecutor, police department, jail and other levels of the criminal justice administration system. The Court Clerk responds to telephone, personal and written inquiries, schedules court hearings, prepares court dockets and files, prepares correspondence, maintains records and performs other related duties as required and/or assigned. Solid computer skills and experience required to learn, utilize and maintain Municipal Court software system.

Pay Grade 7 with a wage of $28,786 with excellent benefits.  Applications must be filed with the Human Resource Director, 232 N. Queen St. Martinsburg, WV 25401 on or before Friday, July 6, 2018.
