The City of Martinsburg is accepting applications for full-time Municipal Court Cashier.  Graduation from high school or GED equivalent with course work in data entry and/or general office practices; and one (1) year prior work experience in cash handling, clerical and/or administrative work; or any equivalent combinations of education and experience.

The Municipal Court Cashier must be able to accurately handle monies received, process and maintain data and prepare deposits related to tickets, fines and municipal court proceedings. This position requires excellent customer service skills in answering phone calls and assisting customers in court matters. This position will also cover and assist the Municipal Court Clerks as assigned. Computer experience is required in order to learn, utilize and maintain computer software package for the Municipal Court system.  

Pay Grade 7 with a wage of $28,786 with excellent benefits. Application must be filed with the Human Resource Director, 232 N. Queen St. Martinsburg, WV 25401 on or before Friday, November 30, 2018. The City of Martinsburg is always accepting police and fire applications, which will be placed on the list for notification for the next test. There is no way to determine when that is, as we do not know when we may have turnover or when the current list of eligible candidates might be exhausted.
