The Martinsburg Fire Department is a 37 member career fire department providing fire suppression, advanced life support EMS, specialized rescue (extrication, high/low angle rope, trench, confined space, and structural collapse), fire investigaiton, fire code enforcement, hazardous materials response, public safety education, and child safety seat installation to the citizens of our community. The department serves the City of Martinsburg from two fire stations, which are manned 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by personnel trained in emergency response. Emergency apparatus includes three (3) ALS ambulances, three (3) engines and an additional one (1) in reserve, one (1) rescue squad, one (1) aerial tower, and support vehicles which include specialized rescue trailers.
